What's Unemployment Compensation?
Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC) is an emergency program that supplements unemployment benefits for people affected by the pandemic. It was created by the CARES Act, which expanded unemployment assistance through three initiatives: FPUC, Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA), and Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC).
